I tend the mobile now
like an injured bird
We text, text, text
our significant words.
I re-read your first,
your second, your third,
look for your small xx,
feeling absurd.
The codes we send
arrive with a broken chord.
I try to picture your hands,
their image is blurred.
Nothing my thumbs press
will ever be heard.

Dear Ma’am/Sir:
hello! Good day!
I hope you are in a good mood upon reading this. I like the poem Text by Carol Ann Duffy which is published in this site. If I may, Can i use this poem as a material in my lesson module on text and context in literature. I am a Senior High School teacher in the Philippines and I teach 21st century literature that is why I came accross reading poems and sites like yours. I hope I could use it. Rest assured you will be recognized.
Have a good great day.
All th love and joy,
Popai Almonia
